March 25, 2017

Are you mystified by the marks on your test sheet?  Have you always wanted the chance to sit close by a judge and hear their thoughts on all the partnerships that enter the arena?  Do you love this sport and have a drive to give back to your dressage community? March 25th, UDS will host a scribing certification program for those who wish to learn how to scribe for a judge at a dressage show.  A 3 hour class that teaches all you need to know plus provides practice with an L judge.  You will then get the opportunity to practice as a co-scribe at the Ride-A-Test Clinic for additional practice.  There are three levels of certification cards

• Bronze for scribing Intro through Second level including freestyles

• Silver which is scribing Third level and Fourth level plus freestyles

• Gold which is all FEI tests including freestyles.

Come to the scribing clinic on March 25th, 2017 and learn to be a judge’s scribe! Also, learn to check tack ("bit-check") as riders exit the arena at a show.  The clinic will be held at the Moreau Building, 1002 East S. Temple, Salt Lake City from 9:00 am-noon; snacks will be provided!

Register online by March 17: free for UDS Members; $10 for non-members.
