UDS Year-End Show & Short Tour Championships

***NEW THIS YEAR***

  • Western Dressage Test of Choice

  • Dressage Seat Equitation.

  • Leadline

As always, you can practice 3rd level to FEI test of choice in addition to Intro through 2nd level.

No need to qualify for the open classes!

Championship classes will be held simultaneously.

@ Zephyr Ranch 9466 S 400 E, Salem, UT 84653

Contact us if you would like to volunteer or sponsor a class!

We are also seeking a ring sponsor.

CHAMPIONSHIP classes are offered at Intro-3, Training-3, First-3,and Second-3 to AA, JR/Yrs and Open riders.

Freestyle championship classes through Second level are also offered.

To qualify for year-end STS Championship classes, the following criteria must be met:

1. For the Final Short Tour Show, the competitor MUST be a UDS member on or before the day of the Short Tour Show.

2. The intent of the Short Tour is to give new dressage riders a learning opportunity, to explore their interest in the discipline. For this reason, any horse/rider combination may only show in the Short Tour Championships at or above the level at which they have shown in a USDF/USEF recognized show during that year. For example, if a horse/rider combination has shown at a USDF/USEF recognized show at third level, they may not compete at the Short Tour Championships at Second Level during the same competition year. They may still compete in the Short Tour show, they are just not eligible for a Championship at Second Level.

3. Automatic qualification and an invitation to show in the CHAMPIONSHIP class if you placed 1st through 3rd place or earned a minimum score of 58% at a Short Tour Show.

‼️***The Short Tour Show will still be happening! Please check with Allie for any changes in ride times.

If the rain date for the clinic does not work for you we will either rip up your checks or refund you.

The Short Tour show at Rose Ranch will be judged by Trisha Kerwin-Bell (L program graduate w/ distinction).

We have opened up registration to accommodate riders for the Ride-a-Test clinic BOTH FRIDAY & SATURDAY MORNINGS. Short Tour show classes will be held over BOTH AFTERNOONS!

If you have already sent in your Clinic entries but would like to ride Friday morning please let us know. If there are limited entries the Clinic and Show may be held just on Saturday.

Please identify which day you would prefer to ride Friday, Saturday, or both. Clinic rides will happen before Show rides on Friday and are TBD for Saturday. USEA tests are welcome.

Please Contact Allie Wicks for questions about the Short Tour Show @ 801-573-7433 or allierides@aol.com

There is NO MINIMUM SCORE required to ride a freestyle test at any UDS Short Tour show and Rose Ranch will gladly accommodate them!

We are also in need of volunteers for both days/events! This includes scribes, ring stewards, score tabulatiors, runners, and announcers. Contact a UDS board member or Allie Wicks.

Make sure you are a current UDS member to qualify for Championships and for discounted rates at UDS events!
