L Program Participant Application

Participant applications must be received by 06/01/2025.
Applicants must be current UDSF members at time of application.

Total number of participants is limited to 30.

Silent auditors are allowed in the Part 1 sessions (A ,B and C). In order to receive access to the course material and online modules you must be a “participate” in the L Education Program. Auditors will only receive an outline of the presentation.


Part 1- “A Judge’s Perspective” is open to all USDF Members; this is the educational foundation of the program. 

  • Session A (October 18-19, 2025) Introduction to judging and biomechanics.  

  • Session B (February 28-March 1, 2026) Judging criteria for gaits & paces, movements &  figures  

  • Session C (April 25-26, 2026) Collective marks, equitation, rider biomechanics and  basics. 


What is the difference between being a “participant” and being a “silent auditor”?

Participants have met the prerequisites for the program and plan on officiating at schooling shows or who would like to become a USEF licensed judge.

Silent auditors are allowed in the Part 1 sessions (A ,B and C). In order to receive access to the course material and online modules you must be a “participate” in the L Education Program. Auditors will only receive an outline of the presentation. Auditors are silent observers with limited interaction and are only permitted to ask questions by invitation of the presenter if time permits


Are USDF University credits available for silent auditing the L Program?

Yes, University Credits are automatic for all silent auditors for Sessions A, B and C of the L Program. To be eligible to receive credit, you must be a current USDF Participating, Group, or Education member and sign the auditor roster including your member number. Silent auditors will receive two (2) credits for attending both days of the program.

Auditors are silent and are those who do not plan on judging, but who want more information about evaluating dressage performance.
