  • News From UDS Special Adviser: Eva-Maria Adolphi

I have been on the USDF Nominating Committee for nearly a year. The convention is in Salt Lake City this year. If you are a Participating Member (PM) of USDF and interest in being a Delegate please let me know. Your responsibilities would be to attend the Board of Governors meeting and vote on governance issues, go to the meetings that you are interested in and meetings for delegates to get information. Let me know if you are interested in becoming a PM Delegate and I will send your name to the Chairman of the committee. You will need to write a 50 word blurb on your own behalf and then you will be added onto the voting ballot. Click here for PM Delegate FAQ I also volunteered to be The Dressage Foundations State Representative. This organization gives scholarships to both individual riders and funds to GMO’s for various activities. I have been donating to them for years and feel they give riders a wonderful chance to get more education. I would have starved if I had become a salesman so if any of you have good fundraising skills I would love some good ideas or even some help. I plan to have a jar at most activities for donations and will contact Horse Crazy for a raffle item. A copy of the Dressage Foundation brochure is attached below. Also, please check out their website! www.dressagefoundation.org - Eva-Maria Adolphi

  • Candidate for Membership Director!

Jasmine Beckstead has declared her candidacy for Membership Director! Here's a little bit about Jasmine: Hello UDS members I know I’m a little late to the game but I want to announce my intent to fill the Membership Director Position for 2018. I am currently a student at UVU and will be graduating this December with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with a minor in business management. With my newfound free time I would love to become more involved with the dressage community again! I am a lifelong horse girl who spent my adolescence heavily involved in raising, training and competing dressage horses. I currently help care for my family’s horses including several warmbloods, arabians, and arabian-warmblood crosses. I look forward to being more involved in the dressage world again. Thanks for your consideration, Jasmine Beckstead

  • Candidate for Secretary!

Lindi Kopecki has announce her candidacy for secretary of UDS! Here is a little bit about Lindi: Utah Dressage Society members, I am writing to express my interest in volunteering for the position of Utah Dressage Society secretary. I am a 2008 graduate of University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Throughout my lengthy academic career, I became very adept in taking notes and keeping those notes in order. In my undergraduate career, I was an honors English student, which allowed my writing and communication skills to grow. I have a deep love of dressage. I have been riding dressage since I was 8 years old. I have only been in Utah for a short period, but during that time I have been active in the Utah Dressage Society. I believe dressage has a promising future here in Utah and would like to help ensure that future is encouraged and nurtured. I believe that volunteering and staying active in UDS is the best way to make this possible. Thank you for your consideration of my interest in this position. Lindi Kopecko, DVM
